The major European indices are closing mostly lower:

• UK’s FTSE 100 -0.43%

• Italy’s FTSE MIB unchanged

For the trading week:

• UK’s FTSE 100 -1.26%

• Italy’s FTSE MIB +2.16%

As London/European traders headfor the exits, the US stock indices remain higher led by the NASDAQ index with a gain of 1.32%. The S&P index is up 0.71% while the Dow Industrial Average is near unchanged.
