Editorial Standards

Our commitments on accuracy, independence, and transparency.

Corrections Policy

Because Cowlpane summaries are generated by an AI pipeline, factual errors can occur. When a material factual error is identified in a summary — whether by a reader or internally — the affected article will be corrected or removed within 24 hours. Corrections are noted at the top of the article with the date of the change. We do not silently delete or alter articles without notation.

To report an error, use the contact details in our Legal Notice. Please include the article URL and the specific claim you believe to be incorrect, along with a source if possible.

Conflict-of-Interest Disclosures

Cowlpane earns revenue from affiliate links and sponsored partner placements. Sponsored content is always clearly labelled "Sponsored" both in the Partner Spotlight section and on individual partner cards. Affiliate links to brokers and financial products are disclosed in the footer of every page.

Sponsored placement does not influence editorial story selection or summary content. The AI pipeline that selects and summarises articles has no awareness of commercial relationships.

No-Pay-for-Play Policy

Editorial coverage on Cowlpane — meaning which stories are summarised and how they are presented — is not for sale. No company, individual, or partner can pay to have a story included, excluded, favourably framed, or ranked higher in any section. The pipeline selects stories based solely on source feed inclusion, publication time, and clustering logic described in our Methodology page.

AI Disclosure

Cowlpane uses an AI research pipeline — ResearchBot — to monitor financial sources, cluster related stories, and draft articles. Every article the pipeline publishes is generated within editorial standards set and maintained by Cowl Pane, who is editorially responsible for all pipeline content on this site. Pipeline articles are published under the Cowl Pane & ResearchBot byline to reflect this human-in-the-loop model.

The pipeline operates within hard constraints: a minimum article length, a required source count, banned topic categories, and a defined editorial voice. Articles that do not meet these standards are discarded before publication. For full technical detail, see our Methodology page.

Google News Eligibility

Cowlpane is working toward compliance with Google News Publisher guidelines, including clear authorship attribution, transparent AI-generation disclosure, and a published corrections policy. These standards pages form part of that process.
